Zaiitoon

We were passing through Slough yesterday evening and one of our friends who lives in the local area highly recommended we try out Zaiitoon (as we hungry). The restaurant is a good size and has a bright ambience to it. The colours are inviting and there’s plenty of seating, which is good for friends and family. We ordered the following dishes: - chapali kebab - charsi lamb karahi gosht - chicken jalfrezi - afghani naan - kabuli pilua with lamb shank - mango lassi The food was excellent. The charsi lamb karahi gosht was marinated to perfection. It is definitely one of the best karahi’s I’ve had in a long-time. The flavour, heat and overall tenderness of the meat was exceptional. The chicken jalfrezi was very good too and the chicken itself was very tender and, similar to the charsi gosht, very flavourful and tasty! Chapali kebabs were very good too and tasted fresh. The kabuli pilau with lamb shank was nice but could’ve been better. The rice wasn’t the traditional rice used and had more of a Pakistani pilau texture to it. Price to quality ratio of all of the food was very good. Customer service was excellent and all of our requirements were met. The only downside I have is that they asked for cash, which isn’t always possible and I’d expect most restaurants to accept card payments nowadays. Overall, highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be visiting again the next time I’m in the local area!

Great food, service good as well. We ordered chapli kabab and charsi chicken karahi with afghan naan. Can’t rate any of it below 5. Portion was massive, were had to pack and take back home, I love afghani food and I would rate this very much top of what I have tried so far. I would go again.

food was absolutely lovely and very big portions for an extremely reasonable price point. staff were friendly and seemed to be stretched a bit thin with the busy saturday night rush, but still made an effort to get back to any of our requests as soon as they could. a lot of screaming children running around which is no fault of the restaurant but did ruin the atmosphere a bit, again something i suppose just comes with a weekend visit. all in all though a lovely meal and i’ll definitely return on a quieter day.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Zaiitoon restaurant in Slough, and it was an experience that left a lasting impression. While the food and the design of the restaurant were absolutely lovely, I found the atmosphere to be a bit lacking. It didn’t quite match the warmth and vibrancy that the food and decor offered. However, this minor setback did not overshadow the overall positive experience. Despite the atmosphere, the quality of the food and the thoughtful design make Zaiitoon restaurant a standout choice. I’m happy to give it a 5-star rating and look forward to returning soon to explore more of their delicious menu offerings.

My Birthday Meal here today (29/05/2025) Food is absolutely amazing ,fresh, great flavours. Service outstanding and food came quickly, friendly staff 10/10 for me Would recommend trying this restaurant for small or large parties of people. Thank You All Very Much

Ihteram ul Haq served us so nicely. I loved the platter and chicken karhai. I will def recommend everyone to try this at least once.

Last week, I visited Zaiitoon Restaurant with friends, and our server, Abbas, provided exceptional service. When I was struggling to afford the bill, Abbas discreetly recommended the cheapest yet delicious items on the menu, making sure we enjoyed our meal without feeling like we were compromising on quality. Abbas's attentiveness and understanding nature made our dining experience truly memorable. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see him again on my subsequent visit, but I'd like to extend my gratitude for his kindness and professionalism. If you're lucky enough to have Abbas serve you, you'll appreciate his excellent service and recommendations. Kudos to Abbas and Zaiitoon Restaurant for providing such outstanding service!

Went to this place as saw some good reviews, it was clean and nice restaurant. The staff were great. The food was nice but I didn’t like the part where the staff would stand and watch us eat. But overall nice halal food restaurant would defiantly recommend
